Every little detail counts on Navman’s new MiVue730 and MiVue 800 Dual Cam, dash-cams, should the unexpected happen on the road

No matter how careful you are on the road, you can’t control reckless drivers around you. However when you are driving with Navman’s new MiVue730 dash cam or the MiVue800 Dual Cam dash cam,  you can feel confident they are capturing every detail of your drive to help back-up your version of events should an unexpected incident occur.

The MiVue800 Dual Cam comes with a second HD camera for the rear of your car to capture any incidents or crashes that happen from behind. While both of these clever devices feature Full HD 1080p cameras made from glass lenses to provide rich quality footage in all lighting conditions and superior night-time recording.

“As dash-cams increase in popularity it’s more important than ever to own one because if an incident occurs, and you don’t have one, another party may be able to present stronger evidence about the event compared to you.  It is also vital to purchase a device that does more than just record. Even though we don’t like to think about being involved in an accident, if one does occur there is no point having a dash cam, if it doesn’t provide as much quality footage as possible to help you build a strong case for police and insurance companies, said Wendy Hammond, Managing Director, Navman Australia.

“These devices go beyond just providing footage – our MiVue800 Dual Cam kicks it up a notch with two cameras that record exceptional quality footage of what’s happening in the front and behind your car at the same time. There are also useful features on both devices to keep you safe on the road such as a headlight reminder, prompting you to turn your lights on when your surroundings are dim, and a driver fatigue alert encouraging you to stop and take a break when you have been driving for over two hours.

“In-built GPS tracking on the MiVue730 and MiVue 800 Dual Cam  devices will provide you with specific details about how an accident happened, including the location and direction a crash occurred as well as the speed you were travelling at when it unfolded. This can be viewed

on your computer via the MiVUE Manager – Navman’s desktop software. While Optimised day and night recording also means footage is clear and dynamic, even when driving at night and in bad and bright weather conditions,” Wendy said.

The MiVue730 has a 2.0” screen while the MiVue800 Dual Cam comes with a 2.7” screen. Other key features found on both devices include a wide 130 degrees angle lens that helps you capture more details of your surroundings such as lanes on either side of you. The 3-Axis G sensor on the device will additionally tell you where the impact came from whether that’s the front, back or side of the car, via the MiVue Manager. A Parking Mode also works in conjunction with the MiVue Smartbox (additional purchase) allowing you to record what’s going on around your car when you are away from it.

The MiVue730 and MiVue 800 Dual Cam are compatible with microSD cards up to 128GB. Both devices come with a one year warranty. The MiVue730 is available for RRP$159 while to MiVue800 Dual Cam has a RRP $269. Both products are now available at all major electronics retailers.
